Get involved at Eastgate; we’d love to do life with you

What is it that you are looking for? Friendship, Support, Information, or a place to volunteer? At Eastgate anyone is welcome to join in with our activities and projects. Our prayer for you is that by choosing to get involved you are inspired, you get to develop your skills, and are equipped to reach your full potential.

Some of us may look like we are mature from the outside, but don’t be fooled; we all struggle with life and rely on others at times for help. The Kingdom of God is about ‘doing life together’. It does not matter where you are at in your faith journey, we want you to know that you are welcome to be part of the Eastgate family.

Community Courses And Activities

We’re really keen to see our community thrive in the everyday stuff of life. From play time with the kids to helping you get healthy, whether you just need to come around to dinner or need help with your finances, there’s heaps of courses and activities on offer at Eastgate throughout the year. Jump on our What’s On page to see exactly what’s running at the moment but here’s a list of things we have running at various times in the year: Mainly Music and Playgroup for toddlers, Womens’ Connect, CAP Money Management, Debt Coaching and Job Club, Marriage Course, Peak Performance Living (health and wellbeing workshop), Bible In Schools, 7 at 7 (a running group), Community Dinners that run on a Monday Night, Divorce Care and of course, our Eastgate Op Shop.

Contact us now if you’d like to know more, get involved through facilitating one of these courses or even if you’re simply interested in attending these courses.

Connect Groups

Eastgate is committed to helping you grow in your faith.  One of the key ways that this happens is in a midweek small group setting called connect groups.  If you see Eastgate as home, being part of a connect group is a great way to get plugged in and make personal connections. We’d love for nothing more than to see people call  their connect group an extension of their family. So why not join one – we are biased but the benefits speak for themselves: encouragement, prayer, teaching, and some great friends. Contact us today to plug into one of our connect groups in your neck o’ the woods.

PS: We’ve heard a few connect groups pride themselves in the coffee and dessert they serve up but you’ll have to go check them out yourselves to verify that!

Alive Youth

YR 10-13

Tuesday nights are ALIVE YOUTH nights! Music, creativity, practical opportunities and inspiring moments that have the potential to blow your life inside out. Radically committed to making our faith real and personal you will not be disappointed.

Our Facebook page is where you’ll want to go to to get the low down on what’s happening every week:

Charged Youth

YR 7-9

Charged is a great place to meet new friends, learn about God, the Bible and have heaps of fun!

Sunday Mornings (during 9am and 10:45am services) we delve into groups to discuss how God relates to life as a pre-teen.   Every Friday night we get together for games, fun, and out-of-the-box activities.   See you there!

Like our Facebook page so you can stay in touch with us and get the skinny on what’s going on at Charged. Parents, you’re more than welcome to like our page too if you wanna keep up to date with what’s happening with your intermediate youth:

Eastgate Kids

Including the creative arts, kids take part in many aspects of the church. We recognize that today’s kids are the next generation of leaders who will change the world, and we want to equip them with a faith that will last a lifetime.

On a Sunday morning we would be honoured to care for your children during the Sunday services. In fact, we won’t just watch them play; we have an amazing team of leaders who will care, teach and inspire your children to understand God and to have their own faith walk. In addition to the parents room and crèche we are delighted to provide Kings Kids (3-5yrs) and Godzone (yr1 – yr6).

Family dinners, family camps, and family based connect groups are all opportunities for kids to know other kids, families to meet with other families, and parents to find practical and spiritual encouragement and support.

Global Mission

Eastgate is committed to networking with other countries, ministries, and people working overseas.

We have a growing number of exciting partnerships within Mongolia, Vanuatu, Indonesia, Bangladesh and the Philippines, to name a few. We have several partners who are actively serving God in these countries, and back here in east Auckland we are committed to financially and prayerfully supporting them and their families. Each year we send teams out to these countries for a hands on cultural experience on two-week trips. No one we know has come back unchanged or impacted in some way through these trips. These short-term trips are life-changing. Well, to say that is an understatement really. You’ll need to get yourself to one some time to really know what we’re talking about.

Our next trip is currently in the process of being planned. Contact us if you’d like to know more about our next trip.
