The letter to the Philippians is soaked in joy, but it was not written from comfort. Paul writes from prison to a church born in suffering, reminding them and us that joy is not tied to circumstance but rooted in Christ. This is joy that sings in chains, prays in pain, and keeps loving through uncertainty.
Across four short chapters which we’ll unpack across eight weeks as summer and Christmas approach, Paul speaks of unity, humility, confidence, faithfulness, and contentment, all fuelled by a joy that cannot be shaken.
This series invites us to rediscover the kind of joy in Jesus that endures, grows, and overflows, even when life is hard.
