In today’s society people are busier than
ever before, and after lonelier. God created us for community and fellowship
and when we look at the early church, we see this blueprint for a healthy life.
We weren’t created to be lone rangers, or islands on our own, we were created
for fellowship which allows several things to occur.
- We have the opportunity to make friends, and
give a receive support.
- There is an opportunity to identify our
spiritual giftings and put them in to practise.
- We can study God’s word together and apply it.
It is very hard to grow on our own without encouragement and accountability.
- Community and fellowship enables us to reach out
to unchurched people, and the poor and broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12

person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand
back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple braided cord is
not easily broken.”
