Pre-School Music, Rhyme
Mainly Music began in 1990 and there are now more than 350 groups operating in conjunction with Churches in NZ, Australia and other parts of the world.
What do we do at Mainly Music?
Each session is made up of many components. These could include finger plays, action songs, puppets, rhymes, games, scarves, ribbons, dance, parachutes, beanbags, and musical instruments. As part of each mainly music session, children and parents have morning tea,
followed by a chance to play with the toys provided.
Older Preschoolers
Usually a separate session for older pre-schoolers is run in a
separate area simultaneously with the main session. This is a smaller session and is used to extend these older children to better
prepare them for school.
Birthday, Seasons, Instruments, Box Days, Transport Days, and many more. They are a lot of fun and a special Morning Tea is provided.
Our Team
We have a dedicated and wonderful team at Eastgate Mainly Music. These are Sandy Snook, Helene Burgess, Glynis Brummer, Bev Bell, Jenny Wake, Angela Ashton, Raewyn Everitt and Sue Croad (Chaplain).
Time Out
Make the most of your Mainly Music experience. Not only are you enjoying some time with your youngster, you have a chance to chat over a hot cup of tea or coffee. It’s our privilege to pour the hot drink for your (after all, you’re most often giving out in your week). And while your child plays with others, you can chat with mums who will appreciate chatting with you.
We hope you enjoy your morning.
Mainly music moments.
Since bringing my grandson along to Mainly Music, I’ve noticed a big change in the way he interacts with children his age. He is calmer and looks forward to coming on Wednesday mornings. He loves the singing and dancing, and I enjoy the chatting over a cuppa.. Sue
One of our caregivers was having
problems with her relationship. During the morning tea and play session we were able to offer a sympathetic ear. This caregiver started coming along to Church, and has changed her life around.
